The Cleveland Cavaliers beat down the Portland Trail Blazers at home, 99-94. Kyrie Irving led the way with a career-high 55 points on 17 of 36 from the field and was an incredible 11 of 19 from three, including four rebounds and five assists. Irving was also a perfect 10 of 10 from the free-throw line.

This was an NBA season high in points for this season. Irving scored over half his teams points. He just simply went off without LeBron James in the lineup for this game. Timofey Mozgov posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kevin Love also notched a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds but was only 3 of 15 from the field. All of his 10 points came in the first quarter. J.R. Smith scored 11 points and dished out four assists.

No one else really stepped up for Cleveland outside of Irving. The Cavs are now on an eighth-game winning streak. Meanwhile, LeBron James did not play tonight with a sprained wrist and is also doubtful to play Friday at home against the Sacramento Kings. The Cavaliers played terrific defense against a stellar offensive team in the Blazers, as they held them to 94 points on 43.8 percent shooting from the field.

For the Blazers, LaMarcus Aldridge led the way with 38 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks. Damian Lillard put in 14 points and five assists but was only 4 of 19 from the field. Wesley Matthews pitched in 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Meyers Leonard added nine points and two rebounds off the bench.

It really was a one man show for both teams in this game, as LaMarcus Aldridge was the only one who stepped up for Portland. The Blazers held the Cavs to only 40 percent from the field and allowed 99 points, but the Cavs shot 40.5 percent on 15 of 37 from three.

The Blazers are 32-14 on the season. They have now lost six of their last eight games, as Robin Lopez continues to sit out with a hand injury.
