Up first in the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest is Wesley Matthew of the Portland Trail Blazers

After the commercial break the Three-Point contest will begin!

Lets refresh the rules. Five racks behind the 3pt arc. Four racks have four regular basketballs (1 point) and one "moneyball"(2 points). The last rack is full of just "moneyballs" all worth two points. Each player can place the "moneyball" wherever he likes behind the arc. Each player has 1 minute to shoot 25 basketballs.

Up next is the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest!!!

Patrick Beverley showed great patience and was able to make the shot when it mattered most.

Once again Patrick Beverley comes from behind and beats Brandon Knight for the Taco Bell Skills Challenge championship!!!

Patrick Beverley and Brandon Knight are faceing off in the finals...now.

Brandon Knight went throught course with blazing speed and was able to make his first three point attempt not giving Lowry a chance to win.

Up next Knight and Lowry

Patrick Beverley came from behind and beat Jeff Teague. He will advance to the finals.

Up now Beverley and Teague

Brandon Knight and Kyle Lowry will face each other in the other semi-final matchup.

Patrick Beverly and Jeff Teague will face each other in the semi-finals

Patrick Beverley, Jeff Teague, Brandon Knight, and Kyle Lowry will advance to the semi-finals.

Kyle Lowry will advance as he dominated the youngster Dennis Schroder.

Kyle Lowry and Dennis Schroder are the last pair of the first round.

Brandon Knight will advance. He made his last three point attempt for the victory.

Up next Trey Burke and Brandon Knight

Jeff Teague won with ease as he made his shot on the first try.

Up next Jeff Teague and Elfrid Payton

Patrick Beverly  won by the slimest of margins. They both missed their three pointers and Beverley was able to make his layup first.

Patrick Beverly and Isaiah Thomas will face off first.

This year its bracket style and two players will face off on the court at the same time. The newest part of the obstacle course is they have to knock down a three pointer at the end instead of a layup.

The next event is the Taco Bell Skills Challenge

Team Bosh wins for the third consecutive year with a time of 57.6 seconds. Dominique Wilkins knocked in the game-winning half court shot!!!

Team Bosh is up looking for their third consective win in this contest.

Team Westbrook couldn't make the half court shot and their total time was 1:30.

Team Westbrook is up first.

Team Bosh and Team Westbrook will advance to the final round!

Team Bosh is going quick. They missed only a handful of shots and will advance with a time of 30.8!

The defending champs Team Bosh is up.

Team Millsap didnt fair well as they total came up to 51 seconds. They will not advance to the final.

Team Millsap is up.

And Penny Hardaway made the half court shot very early 35 seconds. They are in first place.

Russell Westbrook and Penny Hardaway made their shots on their first try.

Tamika Catching took along time to make her first shot in about 16 seconds.

Up next Team Westbrook

Dell Curry knocked down the half court shot. It took Team Curry 47 seconds.

Stephen Curry made his shot on three attempts.

Dell Curry took four attempts to make his.

Sue Bird made the first shot on the first shot.

Team Curry will be up first.

Up first if the Degree Shooting Stars Challenge.

NBA All-Star Saturday Night is underway right now!!!

My prediction is Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves. This kid is really athletic and every time this guy goes and dunks his head is parallel with the rim. He should put on a show and I'm looking forward to it.

This years dunk contest isn't as hyped up than in years past simply because these are young guys who aren't as well known.

My two dark horses in this contest are Kyle Korver (3rd time) and J.J. Redick (1st time). Korver is number one in the NBA in 3PT% at 52.3% and Redick is tied for seventh at 43.6%.

Marco Belinelli is the reigning champ and Kyrie Irving won it two years ago. But I'm going with a different contestant. I have to go with the best shooter in the world, Stephen Curry. This will be his fourth time doing this contest and I can't believe he could lose four times in an event he is made for.

The best event of the night has to be the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest. The NBA has become a 3-point shooting league and therefore there are more great outside shooters in the game. This is probably the best field of participants this contest has ever head, and nobody would shock me if they won.

With this going back to an individual contest I'm going with more of a veteran to win this. I'm going with Jeff Teague of the Atlanta Hawks because he is one of the quicker guards lateraly and has the ability to knock down three-point shots, which has become a new wrinkle in this contest. Oh, and it seems like it's the year of the Hawks, so why not Teague to win this contest on All-Star weekend.

In the Taco Bell Skills Challenge there isn't as much top tier guard talent than years past, but what it does have are young point guards on the rise. Trey Burke teamed with Damian Lillard last year to win this contest.

For that reason I'm going with Team Curry (Stephen CurryDell CurrySue Bird). It's hard to think that the father-son combination of Stephen Curry and Dell Curry would lose this contest. They are known shooters and this contest is made for them.

In the Degree Shooting Stars Challenge you have the defending champs in Team Bosh (Chris BoshDominique Wilkins, and Swin Cash) but I have to think their reign as champs will come to an end.

It's that time where I give my predictions for each event tonight.

The four participants competing in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest: Victor Oladipo (Orlando Magic),Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Zach LaVine (Minnesota Timberwolves), Mason Plumlee (Brooklyn Nets)

The format has changed once again and it’s gone back to more of an old-school approach. It’s a two round event where each player chooses a dunk of their choice without a time limit. However, they have a three-attempt limit on each dunk in both rounds. There will be five judges this year instead of three last year. Each dunk will be rated on a 6-to-10 scale. All four contestants will get two dunks in the first round, and the two who have the highest scores will advance to the final round where they face off head-to-head. The contestant with the highest score in the final round will be crowned the slam dunk champion.

The fourth and final event of the evening is the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. This year there will only be four contests, all of which are young up-and-coming players. All four are either a rookie or sophomore in this league, and all four competed in last night’s BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge

The eight participants competing in the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest: Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors), Kyle Korver (Atlanta Hawks), J.J. Redick (Los Angeles Clippers), James Harden (Houston Rockets), Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers), Wesley Matthews (Portland Trail Blazers), Marco Belinelli (San Antonio Spurs)

The third event of the night is the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest. This is probably the best event of the night and you could argue the best field of three-point shooters we’ve ever seen. This is a two-round competition to decide the winner. There are five shooting locations around the three-point arc. Four of the shooting racks will contain four regular orange basketballs (worth one point) and one multi-colored ball (worth two points). The fifth and final rack will consist of all multi-colored basketballs (worth two points). Each contestant can choose where to place the “money ball” rack. Each player will have one minute to shoot all 25 basketballs, if they don’t shoot all of them then the ones not shot will not count. The three players who have the highest score in the first round will advance to the championship round where they will repeat the process and decide the winner..

The eight participants competing in the Taco Bell Skills ChallengePatrick Beverley (Houston Rockets)- replaced John Wall (Washington Wizards) will face off against Isaiah Thomas (Phoenix Suns) in the first round. Elfrid Payton (Orlando Magic)- replaced Michael Carter-Williams (Philadelphia 76ers) will face off against Jeff Teague (Atlanta Hawks) in the first round. Trey Burke (Utah Jazz) will face off against Brandon Knight (Milwaukee Bucks) in the first round. Dennis Schroder (Atlanta Hawks)- replaced Jimmy Butler (Chicago Bulls) will face off against Kyle Lowry (Toronto Raptors) in the first round.

The second event of the night is the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. In the new version of this event the eight participants will face off in a bracket style tournament. The two players will run through the course and the fastest player will advance to the next round. Four players will come out of the first round and then go through the same course again against their opponent on their side of the bracket. The two winners from their will face off in the championship round to decide who is the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.

The team of Chris Bosh, Dominique Wilkins, and Swin Cash has won the last two Degree Shooting Stars competition. Their best time is 31.4 seconds last year, which is the third best time in the 11 years this competition has been around on All-Star weekend.

These are the four teams that are competing in the 2015 Degree Shooting Stars competition: Team Millsap: Paul Millsap (Atlanta Hawks); Scottie Pippen (Legend); Elena Delle Donne (Chicago Sky). Team Westbrook: Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City); Penny Hardaway (Legend); Tamika Catchings (Indiana Fever). Team Curry: Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors); Dell Curry (Legend); Sue Bird (Seattle Storm). Team Bosh: Chris Bosh (Miami Heat); Dominique Wilkins (Legend); Swin Cash (New York Liberty).

The first event of the night is the Degree Shooting Stars. It consists of four teams of three players. Each team has one current All-Star, one Legend, and one WNBA player. In this competition there are six numbered locations at different areas of the court. Each member of the team will have to knock down their respective shot in numerical order. After the first five areas are completed all three teammates will go to half court and attempt the final shot. After the shot is completed the clock will stop. All four teams will do the same thing in the first round; the two fastest teams will advance to the championship round. Whoever, gets the fastest time in the final round will be declared the winner.

Welcome to VAVEL USA's live of the NBA All Star Weekend, Day 2 of All-Star weekend is tonight starting at 8:00 PM EST at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY. It’s the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night and it consists of four different events that showcase the best stars in this league.
