And so, the New York Knicks tanking continues to roll through the streets of Manhattan.

After two wins in a row, the most recent of which held an emotional identity after the death of former Knick Anthony Mason, the Knicks were shredded apart on their home floor on Tuesday night in a 38-point loss to the Sacramento Kings.

For them, maybe it's been twirled into some sort of lesson about not being lazy and the need to play harder, but the Knicks may be better off forgetting this game ever happened.

The Kings came out playing well, outscoring the home team 35-19 in the first quarter. From then on, the Kings kept it going, winning every quarter by at least six points while going 10 for 18 from the three-point line and 32 for 37 on free throws. On the other side, New York went a measly 4 for 22 from three, as well as 36 percent from the field.

No Knick scored more than 15 points in the game, and Shane Larkin might have had the best line of anyone on his team, putting up 13 points, six assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Meanwhile, DeMarcus Cousins, Ben McLemore, and Rudy Gay all finished with at least 20 points for the Kings, while Derrick Williams, Nik Stauskas, and Omri Casspi pitched in nicely off the bench.

With the win, the Kings improved to 21-37 with very little playoff hopes, while the Knicks dropped to 12-47, still holding the worst record in the league.

Both teams will hit the road tomorrow night. The Kings will take on the San Antonio Spurs at 8:30 PM ET, and the Knicks will face the Indiana Pacers at 7PM ET.
