Another college hoops star performer has decided to enter the NBA Draft early. Georgetown Hoyas guard D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera has decided to forgo his senior year to take part in the 2015 NBA Draft in hopes of becoming an NBA player a year early. 

Coach John Thompson III released Smith-Rivera's decision on Tuesday through a news release. The school also noted that Smith-Rivera plans to hire an agent soon.

D'Vauntes was named to the All-Big East first team this past year. As a junior, Smith-Rivera averaged 16.3 points per game to lead his team, as well as recording 4.2 rebounds per game and dropping 3.2 dimes per contest as well. He is ranked 18th in Hoyas history with 1,386 points over his Georgetown career.

Smith-Rivera led his team to the Round of 32 in this year's NCAA Tournament. After breezing by Eastern Washington in the Round of 64, the Hoyas could not surpass the Utes of Utah and were eliminated. In the Eastern Washington game, D'Vauntes Smith Rivera put up 25 points and 8 boards in an 84-74 win. Against Utah, he only scored 12 and dished out 6 assists. Georgetown finished with a 22-11 record on the season.
