The Brooklyn Nets are slowly but surely solidifying their roster by adding bench components. According to Alex Kennedy of BasketballInsiders.com, Brooklyn has agreed to sign Thomas Robinson to a two-year deal with an option after the first year.

This move comes directly after the team agreed to sign Shane Larkin to a two-year, $3 million deal, using up part of their mini mid-level exception. It seems that Robinson will be consumed with the remainder of the exception, worth nearly $3 million for the two years.

Robinson, 24, will make a return to Brooklyn. During the season, he signed a 10-day deal with the team but failed to see any action. Robinson took it to twitter to promise the Nets a better stint this time around.

All thanks to GOD and BROOKLYN NETS this time won’t be the same I promise!

When Robinson did not work out for the Nets this past season, he joined the Philadelphia 76ers for the remainder of the year where he was able to earn more minutes to showcase his talent. Robinson, the former fifth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings, averaged 8.8 points and 7.7 rebounds in 18.5 minutes per game for Philly, playing in 22 games.

PHILLY you were amazing forever a home for me thank you,” Robinson put on his twitter.

With the return of Thaddeus Young and Brook Lopez as well, Robinson figures to play backup to the two, shoring up the Nets’ frontline.
