The New York Knicks jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, leading by 7 due to the Golden State Warriors' sloppy play with a score of 16-9. The Knicks caused a whopping 8 turnovers in just the first 12 minutes. But once the Dubs cleaned up their game, it was all Warriors to the finish.

Draymond Green finished the night with his 9th triple double in 48 games, finishing with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. In the last 25 seasons, the Knicks franchise has only managed to obtain 7 triple-doubles.

The reigning MVP, Stephen Curry, was surprisingly quiet in the game, only scoring 13 points and 3 steals, but his poor night was greatly overshadowed by his fellow teammates picking up the scoring slack, with Klay Thompson (34 points, 5-3pt.; 3rd straight game with 30+ points), and Draymond Green (20-10-10) combining for 54 points in the matchup. The Dubs continue to stride and prove that Steve Kerr and co.'s offensive schemes are unmatchable, setting up several easy cuts to the basket, solid pick and pop plays, and taking advantage of every single defensive weakness the shallow Knicks had.

Carmelo Anthony was the lone bright spot for New York, leading all scorers with 24 points along with 10 rebounds, on 8-18 shooting, his 9th game this season to stuff a stat sheet with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds. The Knicks looked sound coming out at the start of the contest, but then began to flounder down the stretch, and ultimately failed to keep up with the high-flying Warriors, one of the fastest paced teams in the NBA, while New York is among the slowest.

Knicks Head Coach Derek Fisher seemed to finally begin to solidify his rotation at the start of the new year, but now approaching February, the Bockers look sporadic, losing 7 of the last 10 games, 5 of those losses against playoff teams, respectfully. But for a Knicks squad with playoff hopes, Fisher and co. needs to find a way for the supporting cast to tie together as a whole, and possibly look for an upgrade.
