Taco Bell Skills Challenge

Participants: Isaiah Thomas (Boston Celtics), Jordan Clarkson (Los Angeles Lakers), C.J. McCollum (Portland Trail Blazers), Emmanuel Mudlay (Denver Nuggets), DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings), Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves), Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors) and Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans). 

Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas to win the Skills Challenge. Towns, who was the tallest at 7-feet tall, won in the first year that the contest allowed forwards and centers to participate. Thomas, standing at 5-foot-9 had a step on Towns in the finals, but could not knock down the three-point jumper. Towns, however, weaved in and out of an obstacle course, passed to a target, made a layup and knocked down a triple for the victory. 

Foot Locker Three-Point Contest

Participants: James Harden (Houston Rockets), C.J. McCollum (Portland Trail Blazers), Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Kyle Lowry (Toronto Raptors), J.J. Redick (Los Angeles Clippers), Khris Middleton (Milwaukee Bucks) and Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns). 

Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors defeated teammate and defending champion Stephen Curry in the final round of the three-point contest on Saturday. Thompson started slow in the final round, but drilled is last eight shots to score 27. Meanwhile, Curry scored 23 points to take second and Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns finished with 16 in the final round. 

Across the night, Thompson cashed in on 37-of-50 (74 percent) of his three-point jumpers. 

Verizon Dunk Contest

Participants: Andre Drummond (Detroit Pistons), Zach LaVine (Minnesota Timberwolves), Aaron Gordon (Orlando Magic) and Will Barton (Denver Nuggets). 

In the final round, Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic guard Aaron Gordon traded dunk-for-dunk, which forced the contest to two rounds of extra slams. 

Gordon pulled a jackknife dunk and got a 47 to open the door for LaVine to take home the trophy for the second straight season. The guard did just that as he ended one of the most memorable dunk competitions in years with a between the legs slam just inside the free throw line. With the win, LaVine became the fourth player to win back-to-back dunk titles.
