On Monday night, the Duke Blue Devils landed power forward Chase Jeter, the number 13 overall recruit from the class of 2015. Jeter announced his verbal committent to the Blue Devils on Monday night following the completion of the Adidas Nations Globs 2014 championship rounds. The 6'10" power forward chose Duke over Arizona, Kansas, Oregon, UCLA, and UNLV.

Jeter was selected all-state for Bishop Gorman this past season, while averaging 14.7 points per game along with 10.6 rebounds and three blocks. He is known for his ability to run the floor, creating fast break baskets on offense and getting back to prevent the opposing team from scoring on defense.

When asked why he ended up chosing Duke, Jeter said, "I just loved the feel and the environment. Cameron Indoor is a great place and a great basketball environment."

Jeter joins shooting guard Luke Kennard at Duke to already give the Blue Devils two five-star recruits for 2015. Duke will likely lose freshmen Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones to the NBA after the 2014-2015 season, with graduating guard Quinn Cook; but Coach K will have a solid foundation to work with in 2015 with Jeter, Kennard, Rasheed Sulaimon, Amile Jefferson, Grayson Allen, and Justise Winslow.
