Leonard Hamilton has signed two top recruits, Dwayne Bacon and Malik Beasley, to play basketball for Florida State University next season, reports Brendan Sonnone of the Orlando Sentinel. Each player made his announcement after official campus visits late last week.

Bacon, the #40 overall prospect in the ESPN Top 100, will play small forward for the Seminoles. The Oak Hill (Virginia) product is touted as a versatile player who can score from anywhere on the court.

Beasley, a Georgia native, is ranked #51 by ESPN and was a latecomer to the national scene. Florida State is getting a slashing guard who can also shoot from the outside and defend any perimeter position.

Credit Hamilton for presenting a compelling case that landed both prospects.

"Coach Hamilton is a straight-up coach, and I love the environment here," Bacon said on Friday.

According to Beasley, Hamilton is “...a great head coach and [runs] a winning program. Someone who’s going to help me be successful in the future, and who’s going to [coach] me.”

The freshman duo will join fellow recruit Terance Mann who committed to FSU earlier on. Mann is another perimeter player and is ranked in ESPN's Top 100 as well.

With its 2015 recruiting class, Florida State has made at least an impact on paper on the intensely competitive ACC landscape. If the Seminoles’ new recruits pan out, FSU will have one of the top backcourts in the conference.
