The Purdue Boilermakers dismantled the Grambling State Tigers 80-32 on Thursday night to improve to 3-0 on the season. The loss drops the Tigers down to 1-2 on the season. Isaac Haas led the victorius Boilermakers with 17 points, while A'Torri Shine led the Tigers with 11 points.

Grambling State's troubles can be directly traced to their dismal 26% shooting percentage tonight, which led to 26 defensive rebounds for Purdue. A.J. Hammons pulled down four of those defensive rebounds, as well as three offensive rebounds to give him a total of 7 rebounds, which led the Boilermakers.

Another trouble spot for the Tigers was their lack of offensive rebounds. They missed 30 shots, and only got 6 offensive rebounds. Grambling State also committed 19 turnovers tonight. In addition, Grambling only made 33% of their costless throws, compared to 64% for Purdue. In contrast, Purdue missed 32 shots, but got 15 offensive rebounds, in addition to getting 11 steals.
