Georgia is where some believed it all began for Kentucky's magical run in the postseason last year when they clashed in the semifinal of the SEC Tournament. Kentucky cruised to a 70-58 win that sent them surging into March with a mission.

The two teams will square off in Rupp Arena in what will look to be a battle of two incomplete teams. Freshmen forward Trey Lyles of Kentucky is doubtful for the game with an illness that has been reported by Lyles' father as "a version of strep throat."

Marcus Thornton, Georgia's leading scorer, suffered a concussion in their win over Vanderbilt and will miss his 2nd straight game due to not passing concussion tests. This loss is huge for Georgia due to how much he contributes on the offensive end as well as the energy he gives his team.

With the loss of Thornton Georgia takes a huge blow down low as they only have two players who are 6-8 and regularly play minutes. This size matchup will not make for an easy game and Kentucky could find themselves exploiting the paint all night long.

This Bulldogs team is on the rise in a weak SEC and the loss of their best player showed in a humiliating loss to South Carolina on Saturday. If this team wants to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive they need to get Thornton healthy quickly.

Kentucky looks to be hitting a stride once again after easily beating Alabama for the second time Saturday 70-55. Alabama has a similar size problem as Georgia and Karl Towns took to that fast and scored in the paint often. Look for Towns to have another one of those nights.

Potential Players of the Game

Dakari Johnson- Johnson will be asking for the ball all night with the size advantage he has. He not only has the height but the strength to punch the ball in every time down the court. As long as Johnson stays alert and doesn't get his shot blocked he'll be at the free throw line all game long.

J.J. Frazier- Every player under 6-foot this year comes into Rupp Arena and has a big game. Frazier won't be any different as his speed will be too much for Andrew Harrison and Tyler Ulis will be seeing the court a lot to try and stop him. As long as Frazier takes advantage of Ulis' size as well and elevates to shoot over him it could be a long night for the Cats.
