Fifth seeded Lipscomb was able to escape fourth seeded Northern Kentucky in the A-Sun quarterfinals on Tuesday night. Lipscomb squeaked past Northern Kentucky 76-73 in overtime. Lipscomb was the only road team to win in the Atlantic Sun quarters. The other road teams went 0-3 and got outscored by a combined 68 points.

Martin Smith led the Bison with 13 points and Josh Williams added 12 points. Lipscomb will move on to face top seeded North Florida on Thursday night. Lipscomb has already lost twice to North Florida this year which were by a total of 24 points.

Northern Kentucky, who played this game in their arena, fell short even with five players scoring in double figures. They were led by Tyler White, who had 19 points, including hit 5 of 6 from long distance. White hit a 3 pointer with 6 seconds left to send the game to overtime.

White hit another 3 pointer in overtime that put them up by 3 with 1:43 to go but Northern Kentucky did not score again. Lipscomb ended the game on a 6-0 run and will move on to the semi-finals on Thursday evening.
