According to Adam Jude of The Seattle Times, Cyler Miles has been suspended for the season opener against Hawaii by Washington head coach Chris Petersen.

This is not the first problem for Miles this year. He was suspended for all spring practices following his alleged link to assaults back in February. Miles was not charged in the assaults, but former wide receiver Damore'ea Stringfellow was charged with two misdemeanors. Stringfellow subsequently transferred to Nebraska. After being suspended for spring practices, he was reinstated on May 14 by Petersen.

Miles was expected to replace Keith Price at quarterback. Miles went 37 of 61 (60.1%) with 418 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions in 2013. He also had 200 yards rushing. Miles started the blow out game against Oregon State, a game the Huskies won 69-27.

With Miles out against Hawaii, the job will fall to either sophomore Jeff Lindquist or redshirt freshman Troy Williams. Neither quarterback has thrown a pass in their short careers at Washington.
