The bad news for the Huskers continues, all within the last week. First they lost starting nickel cornerback Charles Jackson. He went down with a ligament strain. Then on Friday, safety LeRoy Alexander was suspended for the season for unknown reasons. Then Michael Rose-Ivey, a Huskers linebacker tore his ACL and announced that to the world through Instagram. It was important for the Huskers to stay healthy in order to make sure they don't have enough depth.

The bad news came in Monday when redshirt Freshman I-back Adam Taylor from Katy, Texas broke his ankle. Mitch Sherman was one of the first to announce the news on twitter, "Another injury for Nebraska: Backup RB Adam Taylor out with a broken ankle."

Things continue to go on the downhill for the Huskers, as depth is very important in sports, but especially football. The Huskers at least were not having another defensive injury, which they could not handle at all, but hopefully Taylor will be able to get a medical redshirt and not lose any of his eligibility. Nobody likes to see people get hurt, but it is especially difficult to see a team take injuries in big waves, before the season has even started. But that is exactly the situation that the Huskers are in.

The silver lining in all this for Nebraska is that Taylor was buried on the depth chart at running back behind Ameer Abdullah, Imani Cross, and Terrell Newby.
