After the insanity that caused Week 6 to be all about upsets, Week 7's action is all about the rebound for many teams that have slumped in the previous weeks of play.

Here are some of the day's most important takeaways:

Mississippi State wins the biggest game in school history

The biggest game in the history of Mississippi State football went down in Starkville on Saturday and it was the home town Bulldogs that walked out of Davis Wade Stadium with a win, leaving head coach Dan Mullen very emotional.

Oklahoma defeats Texas despite total lack of offensive production

Oklahoma led 17-13 after 30 minutes despite getting outgained on offense by nearly 250 yards. The difference in the first half was a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Alex Ross and then a 43-yard pick six by Zack Sanchez in the second quarter. The Sooners went on to the 31-26 victory, but still got outgained 482-to-232 by the Longhorns.

Baylor overcomes 21-point deficit in offensive shootout with TCU

For fans of high-scoring games, the tilt between No. 9 TCU and No. 5 Baylor must have been like heaven on earth. After trailing 58-37 with 11 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Bears scored 24 unanswered points to earn the 61-58 comeback victory.

Things gets heated on the UCLA sideline during blowout loss to Oregon

A highly anticipated matchup between No. 12 Oregon and No. 18 UCLA turned out to be a dud as the hometown Bruins barely showed up. The 42-30 final score looks quite deceiving considering the Ducks held a 42-10 lead with 10 minutes to go.

Alabama survives sloppy game against Arkansas

For the second week in a row Alabama was nearly victim to a surprising upset, but this time the Crimson Tide managed to survive with a win. No. 7 Alabama trailed unranked Arkansas in the fourth quarter, but a Blake Sims touchdown pass to DeAndrew White put the Crimson Tide on top 14-13 and that would be the final score.

Georgia does more than just survive without Todd Gurley

When the news surfaced Thursday that running back Todd Gurley would be indefinitely suspended for No. 11 Georgia, many wondered if the Bulldogs would be able to compete on the road against No. 23 Missouri. Not only did Georgia hold its own, but the Bulldogs actually dominated the Tigers with a 34-0 victory. This was the first time Georgia has shut out a ranked opponent since 1982.

The Duke Johnson legend continues to grow in Miami

While the Hurricanes program hasn't had the kind of success in recent years it once did, Miami has been able to ride running back Duke Johnson as he tears his way through the team's record book. Johnson moved ahead of Santana Moss with 4,402 career all-purpose yards. Johnson, Moss and Ottis Anderson are the only three Hurricanes to have ever gone over 4,000 career all-purpose yards.

Rashad Greene becomes Florida State's all-time leader in receptions

Saturday was all about breaking records, and Florida State wide receiver Rashad Greene got in on the action during the Seminoles game against Syracuse. By the end of the game, he pushed his career total to 215 receptions.

Deshaun Watson breaks hand against Louisville

Clemson found its starting quarterback when freshman Deshaun Watson emerged from the shadow of Cole Stoudt and captured the job. They may be without Watson for a while. His status is unclear going forward. It is highly unlikely that he will play next week against Boston College.

Michigan holds on to take down Penn State

The Wolverines rallied for 11 unanswered points against the Nittany Lions. Michigan only scored one touchdown on the day. It was a 43-yard pass from Devin Gardner to Devin Funchess in the first quarter. Michigan has only won three night games at the Big House. They beat Notre Dame in 2011 and 2013. Michigan fans are hopeful that this may be the turning point for them in the season.

Ole Miss keeps on rolling

The No. 3 ranked Rebels scored the first 21 points of the game and never looked back. Do not be deceived by the 35-20 score because Ole Miss led 35-7 in the fourth quarter. It was an all around effort from the Rebels with both their passing and running game producing. Look for this team to continue climbing up the rankings.

USC does not collapse for a second straight week

After giving up a Hail Mary last week to Arizona State, USC nearly gave up a last second field goal to Arizona on the road. This time, they were on the positive end of things as the field was badly missed to the right and USC held on for a 28-26 win.
