Some random news was just announced for the Louisville Cardinals Football program. The Cardinals have offered a scholarship to Tee Webb, a 6’3" 170 lbs 7th-grade QB. This was reported by Bleacher Report after Webb tweeted the surprising news. It is still a bit of confusing news that was completely out of the ordinary.

Louisville is smart to get there name out there to some of the younger prospects but a 7th-grader? That’s a bit much for a fantastic Division I program. He could pan out to be the best quarterback of his class, but he’s still very young. His talent level based on the videos looks already extremely high. He even posted a picture on his Twitter account of him at a FSU football game on an unofficial visit.

Lee already has the height of a quarterback but just needs to grow up. Hopefully, he doesn’t sustain a serious injury throughout the rest of his middle/high school career. There will be many other programs going after this kid in high school. It’s interesting to see Louisville after him this early.

This is fantastic news for this young man. There is a great future for Tee Webb no matter how good he gets later on. Earning a scholarship in the 7th-grade is a very special thing and it shouldn’t be taken lightly. This could be the future of college football recruiting!
