Following their first victory since 2008 over their in-state rival, Clemson's quarterback DeShaun Watson recently stated that he "would never lose to South Carolina." South Carolina's Ulric Jones, a junior college recruit coming in as a new defensive lineman, has a different opinion. In this article, we get to know Ulric better.
VAVEL USA: Why did you pick Carolina?
Ulric Jones: It's the greatest place in the world to place college football and close to the crib.
VAVEL USA: How do you feel you improved as a player your senior year of high school?
Ulric Jones: Well I've come from some unknown highschool player to a top 10 JUCO D-lineman and that's amazing. My coaches here at Butler community college get all the glory on that one because they made me a man on the field.
VAVEL USA: How do you feel about Carolina's co-defense coordinator scheme this year?
Ulric Jones: I feel as if they will put us in the best defense to be the nation's top D-line class and most dominant defense that we are.
VAVEL USA: Just how hard do you plan on trucking Deshaun Watson?
Ulric Jones: Hard enough to leave a Carolina print on his chest.
