The NFL started to roll out its schedule for the 2014/15 season today and the World Champion Seattle Seahawks will face off against a few, old AFC West foes during the preseason.  Exact times for these preseason games will be announced at a later date, along with the times and dates for regular season games.

Week 1: Somewhere between August 7th and 10th, the Seahawks will have a Super Bowl XLVIII rematch against the Denver Broncos in Denver.  We’ll see if Russell Wilson and crew can repeat their dominant performance with the new pieces that are being put in place.  While Broncos fans await the official word on Peyton Manning’s fate, Seahawks fans know exactly who their starting QB will be for next season.

Week 2: The Seahawks will travel to another old AFC West foe in week two and will take on the San Diego Chargers at some point between August 14th and 18th

Week 3: Pete Carroll’s crew will travel to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears between August 21st and the 24th.  This will be an opportunity for the Seahawks to show Jared Allen that he made a mistake by passing up their offer and signing with the Bears.

Week 4: The preseason ends with a home game on August 28th against yet another old AFC West foe, the Oakland Raiders.  This could be a really interesting game if the Raiders wind up taking Johnny Manziel in the NFL Draft.  Due to their size and athletic abilities, Manziel is occasionally being compared to Russell Wilson.

Given their victory in Super Bowl XLVIII, the Seahawks can look forward to a primetime game to start the NFL regular season on Thursday, September 4th, where they will lift the championship banner at Century Link Field.
