It looks as if Matt Flynn has found a place to call home, again.  After bouncing through three cities in two seasons, Flynn has decided to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers.  Terms of the new deal have not been disclosed.

“Do I like Matt Flynn in the quarterback room?" McCarthy said at the NFL Annual Meeting last month. "Absolutely. Not only Matt as a player, but there's value he has, he's been there, he's got experience, his relationship with Aaron. He carries a lot of value. That's added value.”

It's been a wild two years for Flynn. He cashed in on a Packers' record setting performance while filling in for the injured Aaron Rodgers in week 17 of the 2011 season, which turned into a guaranteed $10 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks in 2012.  Unfortunately for Flynn, the Seahawks drafted a quarterback in the third round of the 2012 draft by the name of Russell Wilson who beat Flynn out for the starting job in the preseason.

After a year with Seattle, Flynn was traded to the Oakland Raiders, where he lost out to the less than impressive Terrelle Pryor.  Flynn was released by the Raiders following his only start in week four of the 2012 season against the Washington Redskins, going 21-of-32 for just 227 yards and an interception. Flynn was picked up by Buffalo for just three weeks without an appearance before getting new life in an old place, Green Bay.

The Packers signed Flynn on November 12, 2012 after losing starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and backup Seneca Wallace to injuries.   Signed originally to back up practice squad call up Scott Tolzien, Flynn soon found himself rallying the Packers back from a 16-point deficit in the second half to tie the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.  Flynn took over as starter and led the Packers to a 2-2 record and was credited with saving their season.  Aaron Rodgers returned to the team in the week 17 finale against the Chicago Bears.

With the Packers in 2013, Flynn completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 1,146 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions.  He will go into training camp competing against Tolzien for the backup job.  McCarthy has said that he may keep all three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster, which he hasn't done since 2008.
