Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis was in San Antonio earlier this month meeting with members of the community including former mayors Henry Cisneros and Julian Castro as well as city manager Sheryl Sculley about relocating the team to San Antonio.

The Raiders are very unhappy with their current stadium situation in Oakland. The team has been exploring possible destinations to relocate to and San Antonio seems to be very high on Oakland's wish list of destinations. If the Raiders did make the move to San Antonio they would have to play in the Alamodome, a good size dome in San Antonio that holds 50,000. If they didn't make the move, Commissioner Roger Goodell has suggested the team share the brand new Levi’s Stadium with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Raiders ownership would have to receive approval from at least 24 other NFL owners in order to move locations. The Bay Area is the 6th largest media market in the country while San Antonio is the 37th largest. Though San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the US with more than 1.4 million people compared to Oakland at 45th with 406,000 people plus San Antonio is known to have a very loyal and dedicated fan base to their pro sports team, the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA
