After finally playing quarterback in a game for the first time in over 300 days just one week earlier against the Green Bay Packers, Sam Bradford injured his left knee in the Saturday preseason game on the road in Cleveland. Because of his prior injury history, many people were quick to assume that this was probably just another major injury that Bradford had taken. The proof is not yet there, but speculation abounds. Everyone is officially waiting the results of an MRI to be taken on Sunday, August 24th.

This is the link to Head Coach Jeff Fisher's press conference talking about Bradford after the game. Fisher is optimistic about the injury, and even states that it was probably a "hyperextension of his knee." Bradford walked off the field and there was no need for a cart.

Adam Schefter reports on Twitter that: "Initial tests on Rams QB Sam Bradford's knee did not show damage to ACL. Team "dodged a bullet." Still, more tests on knee scheduled Sunday." This is mainly interesting because during Fisher's post game press conference the press were saying that Schefter announced an ACL tear from that same knee.

One thing is for certain. Even though Sam Bradford hasn't been at the top of his game because of injuries in recent years, he is still very much a more talented quarterback than Shaun Hill and Austin Davis. If Bradford misses a significant amount of time again this season, the Rams are going nowhere.
