An ESPN profile of the owner of the Dallas Cowboys released Thursday revealed that weeks after the draft, Jerry Jones the NFL owner wasn't thrilled with Jerry Jones the general manager, especially when it came to the topic of Johnny Manziel.

Whether the Cowboys would pick Texas A&M Heisman Trophy winner Manziel or not was one of the top storylines of the 2014 NFL Draft. The Cowboys had the No. 16 pick, and the sometimes controversial Aggies star was still available. When the clock expired on Dallas' time, Zack Martin was announced as the pick, and not Manziel, who grew up in Texas and expressed interest in playing with the Cowboys. An owner known for taking big names took an offensive lineman instead.

"I am still so damn mad," Jones said in an interview for the story in late May about Manziel. "I get madder, every day, about missin' him."

Taking Manziel would have definitely been considered a gamble. The Aggies star was making headlines in social media, was considered undersized by some at the crucial position of quarterback, and Dallas already had an established player in Tony Romo with a lucrative contract. But taking a gamble is exactly what Jerry Jones wanted to do.

"If we had picked Manziel, he'd guarantee our relevance for 10 years," Jones said in the interview.

One can only imagine the circus that would have been with Manziel being a Dallas Cowboys. That's just Jerry being Jerry.
