Ray Rice been in the spotlight for quite sometime now. He will continue to stand in the middle of that spotlight as it was announced on Sunday that he will appeal and make a big move in the case on Monday. Rice will appeal his indefinite suspension on Monday, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

The following is from ProFootaballTalk.com:

"The appeal will be handled by the NFLPA and by an outside lawyer retained by Rice.

Because the indefinite suspension was imposed under the personal-conduct policy, Commissioner Roger Goodell will have the ultimate authority over the appeal.  Don’t be surprised if Rice and the union ask that Goodell designate a hearing officer who has no current connection to the league office, which Goodell ultimately did in the appeal of the players suspended in connection with the Saints bounty case.

Apart from whether Goodell potentially has prejudged the Rice case before the appeal process has played out, Goodell also will be a witness in the appeal process, since one of the key questions is whether Rice lied to the team or the league about what happened in the elevator."

Basically, Rice will most likely make the claim that he told his previous team, the league, and commissioner Roger Goodell the truth right from the start. The league went on and lied about a few key pieces in the case.

It will come down to whether or not the arbitrator believes Rice told the truth from the beginning and the league was lying throughout the case.

This appeal could deliver the league, fans, and others involved in the case with more truths about what went down between Rice striking his then-fiancee Janay Palmer in the elevator of a casino. It will most likely also deliver more truths about the way Goodell and the rest of the league reacted.
