The Dallas Cowboys (1-1) defeated the Tennessee Titans (1-1) to avoid going 0-2 since 2010. The Cowboys won thanks to huge performances from DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant.

The Cowboys offense was led by Murray who rushed for 167 yards on 26 carries and one touchdown. Tony Romo was able to throw it through the air without giving up an interception. Romo looked confident on Sunday, going 19 for 29, 176 yards and a touchdown. That touchdown was passed to Dez Bryant, who caught the ball 10 times for a total of 103 yards. The Cowboys offense looked like one that could compete against high quality teams.

"DeMarco ran really well," Dallas coach Jason Garrett said. "He ran hard and he ran downhill. When you can do that, drive the football again, again and again and control the football and control the game it gives you a great chance to win."

"Starting 0-2 is a very, very big hole you don't want to be in," Tony Romo said.

The Titans really struggled throughout the whole game. They missed multiple tackes that allowed the run game to flourish for Dallas. The offense made some great plays, but quarterback Jake Locker tossed two interceptions. He passed 18 for 34, good for 234 yards and a touchdown. Shonn Green ran the ball five times for 40 yards. The offensive line did not help his cause as they struggled to make holes for Green to run. The highlight of the night came from Delanie Walker. The tight end caught 10 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown.

"We just dug ourselves too big a hole," Locker said.
