According to multiple reports, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is facing another child abuse accusation. Peterson sat out the week two matchup against the New England Patriots because of negligent injury to a child. As long as the legal issues play out, he should be available to play in next weeks matchup. He received this punishment after he was accused of child abuse with his four-year-old son. Peterson is now being accused of child abuse with a different son.

The television KHOU 11 News was able to gain access to text messages between the running back and his wife that described the actions.

Mother: "What happened to his head?"

Peterson: "Hit his head on the Carseat."

Mother: "How does that happen, he got a whoopin in the car."

Peterson: "Yep."

Mother: "Why?"

Peterson: "I felt so bad. But he did it his self."

ESPN stated that Peterson went on to say he was disciplining his son for cursing at his sibling sibling.

Mother: "What did you hit him with?"

Peterson: "Be still n take ya whooping he would have saved the scare. He aight."

Peterson has faced criticism, but has also gotten support from some individuals. Peterson will enter the court on October 8. He will meet with the judge about reckless or negligent injury to a child. If the superstar is found guilty, he faces two years in prison and a $10,000 fine according to the Texas law.

The argument Peterson will be able to make is that he did not intend to hurt his son. It is hard to predict how the National Football League and the NFLPA will address this issue especially with the league being critiqued left and right.

VAVEL USA will release more information as it becomes knowledgeable.
