Former New York Giants quarterback and current CBS broadcaster, Phil Simms has a petition attempting to ban him from calling anymore of the Denver Broncos games. It seems like every Denver Broncos game Phil Simms and Jim Nantz call them. Fans created a petition on change.org. So far, this petition has over 40,000 signatures this amount keeps going up.

Simms drew the ire of Denver fans and set off a Twitter tirade from Broncos Nation on Sunday after he said "I don't mean to root against Denver, but ..." during the broadcast. Various Denver Broncos fans had the following to say about Simms:

"Phil Simms hates the broncos so much he just had to clarify on air that he is not cheering for Kansas City...#embarrassing," wrote one fan on Twitter.

"Yes, Phil Simms.....you are rooting for the Chiefs. No need to deny it #Broncos," wrote another.

"His skewed, biased, and more often than not irrational banter is enough to make me turn the TV down and listen to radio broadcast as I look the game," wrote Cole Williams of Denver on the petition's comment board. "I know for a fact that I'm one of a multitude of not only Broncos fans, but also fans of the NFL who do this. And I'm sure your advertisers would be interested to know this piece of feedback as well!"

Supposedly, Phil Simms was cheering against the Chiefs when they were playing the Broncos. The Denver Broncos were eight and one last season in the games that Simms called the games. That's a pretty good record. Finally, Simms and Nantz get the Broncos versus Seahawks Super Bowl rematch this Sunday. It will be interesting to see the fan reactions on Sunday with him in the broadcast booth.
