Davante Adams is the second round selection of the Green Bay Packers from the 2014 NFL draft. After letting Greg Jennings and James Jones both leave in costless agency the last few years, it was time for Ted Thompson to make sure that he didn't leave the cupboard bare for Aaron as he kept going through his prime with the Packers. Adams was the highest offensive player selected by the Packers, and it definitely seemed like a confusing selection at the time. As the season has progressed, Adams has been getting more snaps and more opportunities to see the field, primarily as the wide receiver across from Jordy Nelson, as Randall Cobb fills the slot. His best week so far was in week 2 against the Jets, when he caught 5 passes for a total of 50 yards. Scoring your first touchdown is a career highlight as well, and Adams achieved that as well in week 5 when he scored against the Minnesota Vikings. Then came his first of many Lambeau Leaps to come.

But some big news came out this week when Rodgers told the media that he noticed Adams on film. Here is the quote from packers.com, “Davante, he’s open on film a lot,” Rodgers said. “He’s run a lot of good routes. He only had one catch last week, but if he stays confident and keeps making plays like he’s doing in practice, the ball is going to keep coming his way.”

This is fantastic news for the young receiver. He is only 21 years of age and he is already catching touchdowns from one of the best quarterbacks in the game. Adams looks to have a promising future with the Green Bay Packers, and they are excited to have the young man up in Northern Wisconsin so that they can showcase his abilities. This week they will be on the road in Miami to face the Dolphins. It will be exciting to see what he can bring to the field as an encore.
