4th Q :53: Davis is intercepted by Johnson and returned for a pick 6! San Francisco will take this victory.
4th Q 1:13: San Francisco is held on 3rd down and is forced to punt. Austin fair catches it at the 8 yard line, Rams will come out and try to tie it with 1 minute and no timeouts.
4th Q 2:26: St. Louis will atempt a onside kick. Johnson falls on it at midfield. 49ers will take over and likely run the clock out.

2nd Q :14: Kaepernick to Lloyd for a huge 80 yard touchdown reception after St. Louis slipped on the coverage. 49ers are right back in it.
2nd Q 1:37: Kaepernick to Boldin for a 12 yard reception and a 1st down at the 20 yard line.

1st Q 15:00: 49ers won the toss and defered for the 2nd half. The kickoff went out the back off the endzone and St. Louis will take over at the 20 yard line.

7:35 PM EST: Prediction: The odds makers have San Francisco as a 3.5 point favorite with a 43.5 over/under. I think this game will be a low scoring defensive minded game where it will really comes down to who will commit more turnovers, ultimately I trust a proven Kaepernick more than a undrafted rookie QB in Austin Davis. 49ers 27 Rams 20.
7:14 PM EST: Injury Report: 49ers, TE Vernon Davis (Active), Rams, RB Zac Stacy (Active). Both teams don't have many injuries but the ones they do have are significant to the teams. Davis was a game time decision but they ruled him active for tonight.
7:00 PM EST: Now let's take a look at St. Louis's season so far. Things didn't start well when franchise QB Sam Bradford torn his ACL for the second time in a preseason game. In week 1 backup QB Shaun Hill got injured, so then the undrafted rookie QB Austin Davis got the job. The Rams didn't start the season good at all as they got manhandled by a Vikings team led by Matt Cassel in St. Louis. It got a little better in week 2 when they went into Tampa Bay and won a very competitive game 19-17 on a last second game winning field goal. Decent game, solid win to build confidence in Davis. Next up they played Dallas and had them 21-0, but the Rams managed to choke away the lead and lose 34-31 in a shootout to fall to 1-2. They then went to Philly to play the Eagles. They got thrashed in every aspect of the game through 3 quarters as the Rams were down 34-14 at the end of 3. But all of a sudden here comes the Rams roaring and brought it back to 34-28 and almost completed the unbelievable rally win but ran out of time and fell to Philly 34-28. This week St. Louis is at home and they have division rival San Francisco in their sight. The Rams will come to play and I believe they'll be hungry for a victory on Monday Night Football in front of the home fans. If Rams defense can contain Kaepernick and Gore and control the time of possession I think St. Louis has a punchers chance.
6:45 PM EST: Now let's take a look at San Francisco's season in review so far. They opened the season in Dallas and shredded the Cowboy's as Tony Romo threw 3 picks and failed to stop San Francisco as the Niners walked all over Dallas in Big D 28-17. They then had their home opener in the new Levi Stadium and the Chicago Bears spoiled it on Sunday Night Football. The Bears made a late heroic run led by Jay Cutler and ended in many scratching their head's and pointing fingers at one another in the 49ers locker room, Bears take it 28-20. The 49ers then took it to Arizona where they jumped to a early 14-6 lead against Drew Staton. But once again they failed to keep a lead as they blew that lead, got out scored 17-0 to finish the game and fell to 1-2. The 49ers then bounced back in a big way by taking it to the Philadelphia Eagles, who were undefeated at the time. San Francisco got a who win at home and boosted the confidence of the Niners locker room by getting a 26-21 victory. The 49ers then kept the train going as they beat Kansas City at home with classic smash mouth football. The 49ers pressured Alex Smith at the end and he threw the pick that clinched the game for San Francisco. San Francisco is riding into this game hot on a 2 game win streak, if San Francisco can create some turnovers early on defense and protect the football I think the 49ers will be just fine.
6:30 PM EST: In today's match-up we have the San Francisco 49ers (3-2) - the St. Louis Rams (1-3). This is a match-up of division rivals and will have a big impact on the division standings. If San Francisco can win today's game they jump to 4-2 and tie the Seattle Seahawks at the second in the division (only 1/2 game behind Arizona at 4-1) and a St. Louis loss almost knocks them out of the division race as they'll drop to 1-4. If St. Louis can get a win at home in primetime - San Francisco they'll go up to 2-3 and be right back in the division as San Fran will then drop to 3-3 and be right in the middle as well. If St. Louis can win the NFC West will be very congested.
