The 49ers entered Monday Night Football in a matchup with an injury-depleted Rams team and fell to their level. Falling behind 14-0 early in the first half, the 49ers were saved by their star quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick helped lead the 49ers back into the game on an 80-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Lloyd at the end of the first half.

It was the second 80-yard touchdown of Lloyd's career. The Elias Sports Bureau researched and noted Lloyd had nine years and 18 days between 80-yard touchdown catches, the longest gap in NFL history.

Kaepernick passed for 343 yards and 3 touchdowns as well as 37 yards on the ground. Kaepernick led multiple drives, evading defenders, and extending drives. With 1:05 left in the game, Rams quarterback Austin Davis threw an interception to Dontae Johnson to finish out the game.

The 49ers dodged a bullet Monday, to say the least. They did work things out, and somehow, some way, the 49ers just keep winning. With a severely depleted defense, and a quarterback in Kaepernick who is maturing still, the 49ers are doing something that rare teams can do. That is winning under the radar.

The 49ers lost another star due to injury, that is Patrick Willis. Willis left in the third quarter with a toe injury and would not finish the game. Jimmie Ward, Mike Iupati, and Stevie Johnson also left the game. The 49ers are winning but for how long can this last? Injuries are piling up and it should be causing worry.
