The Jacksonville Jaguars, after receiving their first win of the season, receive some news that may have short-circuited the celebration in the locker room.

2014 Pro Bowl Linebacker Paul Pozluszny have suffered a torn pectoral in the win against the Cleveland Browns that will require surgery. He will be put on the Injury Reserve and end his 2014-2015 season.

He has led the Jaguars in tackles every year he has got to the team since 2011.

The Jaguars will be putting fourth-year Linebacker J.T. Thomas, who has been playing Outside Linebacker for the past four games for the Jaguars, at the Middle Linebacker spot that Pozluszny has thrived in. He was a sixth round draft pick for the Chicago Bears in 2011.

In other Jaguars news, they also lose Defensive End Andre Branch with a groin injury for six weeks. He was second on the team with 3 sacks in the team that is third in the NFL in sacks.

The players that will be getting more playing time with the injury are Defensive Ends Ryan Davis and Chris Smith.

Ryan Davis is an undrafted second year pro from Bethune-Cookman that has been heavily used for pass rushing situations for the Jaguars, ever since he arrived on the team.

Chris Smith was a 2014 NFL 5th round draft pick from Arkansas that has not seen main roster play in the regular season.

The Jaguars are going to have a new-look defense this coming Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. It shall be seen if it truly affects how the Jaguars play on Sunday with the amount of young players that has been on the roster brought in by the young regime of General Manager David Caldwell and Head Coach Gus Bradley.
