The Steelers seem to be toying with a little bit of inconsistency.

Good one week and bad the next, Pittsburgh overcame an early deficit against the Houston Texans on Monday night to win 30-23.

It should also be noted that the Steelers haven't lost playing on Monday night in 16 straight games, quite the unique statistic.

Pittsburgh (4-3) relied on veteran defensive end Brett Keisel who did his best J.J. Watt impression getting a key interception and returning it for a touchdown. It was the Steelers third touchdown in the final two minutes of the first half where they scored 24 points in total.

Houston meanwhile, (3-4) lost their third straight game after what would likely be considered their toughest defeat of the season. Running back Arian Foster led the way with 102 yards rushing but failed to scored a touchdown after scoring four in his previous two games. He has eclipsed 100 plus yards on the ground five times this year.

Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell continues to impress, however this time he did it through the air hauling in eight receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown. Surprisingly, the 22 year-old only has one rushing touchdown dating all the way back to week one. Wide receiver Antonio Brown led the way with nine receptions for 90 yards while rookie Martavis Bryant scored his first career touchdown. Veteran Lance Moore had the other for Pittsburgh.

Ben Roethlisberger was effective once again for the Steelers throwing two touchdowns for 265 yards. "Big Ben" has faced criticism the past week from fellow Steelers receiver and Hall of Famer Hines Ward, who commented on his play calling and said that Ben was the main reason for the team's recent struggles.

After the Cleveland Browns (3-3) and Cincinnati Bengals (3-2-1) lost this past week, the Steelers got themselves a much needed victory to stay in the heat of the playoff chase. Houston meanwhile sits in second place behind the Indianapolis Colts (5-2).

Pittsburgh will host the Colts at home this week while Houston will take on the Tennessee Titans (2-5) on the road.
