The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 34 to 51. This game had historic plays by both quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Andrew Luck. This game was an offensive slugfest in which both offenses were electric. Luck was trying to overcome an 28 point deficit but failed to do so. Both quarterbacks combined for 907 yards passing. That was the second highest combined yards passing in one game since January 1, 2012 game between the Lions and Packers that had 971 yards. Ben Roethlisberger had 522 passing yards while having six touchdowns thrown. Both of which were Steelers franchise records for a game that came on his 150th start.

The Colts had come into the game on a five game winning streak. At the beginning of the game they looked to make it six games. In the first quarter, Ben Roethlisberger had a touchdown to Wheaton. That was the follow up to a Adam Vinatieri field goal giving the Colts the lead by three. In the second quarter, it was all Steelers. The Colts would score two touchdowns in the half. One of them set up be a fumble by the Steelers. The Pittsburgh Steelers would answer for 28 points. Two of them to wide receiver Antonio Brown and one to Martavis Bryant would catch one as well. In the third quarter, the Colts tried to make a game out of it. The Colts answered scoring 14 points while the Steelers only scored seven.

Finally, in the final quarter the Steelers would cap off the victory. The Colts tried desperately to make a comeback. Andrew Luck would be called for a safety on an intentional grounding call. That play would end the Colts chances and secure a Steelers victory.

Ben Roethlisberger had this to say on his historic performance," We just felt like they couldn't stop us because we were just clicking," Roethlisberger said. "It was one of those nights that players talk about when things feel like they're going right."
