The Dallas Cowboys (6-2) lost at home to the Washington Redskins (3-5) by a score of 20-17, thanks to an overtime field goal from Kai Forbath from 40 yards away to snap the Cowboys' winning streak. The biggest scare of the night, of course, was when Tony Romo was sacked by Keenan Robinson early in the second half. He laid motionless for a little while, with the fear that he injured his back once again. He would return in the fourth quarter, but did not have much of in impact going down the stretch.

"Even if I had the back surgery I still would have felt that one pretty good. It was a direct hit," said Romo after the game. The offensive line will have to do to a better job of protecting their quarterback, not just from getting seriously injured, but from getting sacked at all, as he was taken down to ground on five different occasions.

The Cowboys' backup quarterback, Brandon Weeden took the reigns over for and the ex-Oklahoma State Cowboy's confidence grew quickly as Murray ran the ball for 51 yards on his first play in. Weeden rounded off the drive with a 25 yard touchdown to Jason Witten to even the score at 17. DeMarco Murray was phenomenal once again as he ran for 141 yards on 18 carries averaging 7.4 yards per carry. The Cowboys defense struggled late in the game and in overtime.

But it was Colt McCoy who ran, what was arguably the best run of the night as the 'Skins were down inside ten yards and ran to the right side to give his team a one touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. McCoy was impressive in Arlington last night, as he threw just five incomplete passes, 25/30, throwing for just under 300 yards at 299. Rookie Bashaud Breeland was magnificent all evening and came up huge all night long, but none bigger than the last play of the evening. Breeland broke up Romo's 4th down pass attempt, in overtime, that stopped the Cowboys drive and the game.

Robert Griffin III is close to returning to the starting job, but we will not know his status until later during the week. “I prepare as if I’m the starter, whether I’m playing or not. That decision is not my decision. I’m a team player and I’m going to do whatever they ask me to do” McCoy said following the victory.
