It has been a rough season for the first-round draft pick out of the University of South Carolina. Linebacker Jadeveon Clowney reportedly "liked" a girl's photo on Instagram during the Texans game on Sunday afternoon. At first, he caught the media's attention due to his knee injury, but now, they have a new situation to talk about.

First of all, yours truly thinks that this controversy is a complete joke. Sure, the first overall pick in the draft has all eyes on him, but this situation is just not really important. If this incident does turn out to be worse, then I could see why there is a lot of discussion. The only possible thing that stands out at this point, was that Clowney was apparently on his phone during the game. If you are a player in the NFL, you should not be doing that type of stuff. Others might say it was a "rookie move" by Jadeveon. At this point, there is really nothing that can be done. Sure, there will be a lot of assumptions being made, but this incident should not turn into a huge deal.

Let's take another situation similar to this one into consideration. This past summer, Houston Rockets' superstar Dwight Howard was rumored to have flirted with a young teenage girl. With Dwight Howard being one of the most "hated" player in the NBA, there were tons of assumptions and controversy. It turned out that it was no big deal, and life moved on. That is how this Clowney incident should be handled. There can be all this talk about it for a few days, and then it will all be forgotten.

The Houston Texans organization has been rumored to be frustrated with Clowney. Most importantly, his injuries have really been a major concern, but now this dumb controversy? There is really nothing they can do about this situation. If Clowney really wants to get back on the field, then this writer thinks he should keep working hard. Ignore the media and prove that he was worth the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

Unless this turns into a serious incident, this incident should be completely disregarded. People can voice all their opinions about it, but yours truly does not see this turning into something serious.
