After a miracle comeback for the ages in one of the greatest Championship games of all time, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will take to the field in two Sundays in Glendale, Arizona for what is sure to be a great match up.

The NFL switches which conference is considered the home team every other year. For example last year it was the AFC representative, The Denver Broncos, this year it will be the NFC representing Seattle Seahawks.

By being considered the home team that team will get a choice in which jersey they will wear for the game. By default you would expect the Seahawks to wear its home blue jerseys but it may be a surprise to many that the white away is very much on the table of serious consideration.

The reason I bring this up was back in Super Bowl XL the Pittsburgh Steelers who were considered the home team for that match actually choose to wear its white away jersey and forced Seattle to wear its blue home for that game. They went on to lose that game 21-10.

Last season while the squad wore its white away jersey and dismantled the Broncos 43-8 to bring the city its first ever Super Bowl and major sports championship since the 1979 SuperSonics.

While many people are not superstitious and truthfully the color of a jersey should not effect the outcome of the game, this writer wouldn't say that he'd be surprised to see the Seahawks come out in their white away jerseys.
