Now that the mystery surrounding the franchise tag has been solved, even more questions regarding the Detroit Lions offseason plans are raised.

There is still a possibility that the Lions will work out a long-term deal with DT Ndamukong Suh, but the perception is that the Lions have begun the process of moving on. Here are five players that you could see wearing Honolulu blue and silver next season:

1. Orlando Franklin - G/T - Franklin began his pro career at tackle, and eventually moved inside to guard. He has only missed one game in his four seasons. Franklin was part of the 2013 line in Denver that helped Peyton Manning stay upright and break the single season record for touchdown passes in a season (55). Matthew Stafford was pressured more often than not, and his numbers suggested the same. The Lions need an upgrade at guard and Franklin could be just that.

2. Stephen Paea - DT - The potential loss of Suh, Fairley, and Moseley completely devastates the Detroit Lions offensive line. Paea had a breakout year for Chicago in 2014. He is 26 years old and solidify the defensive line.

3. Buster Skrine - CB -  Playing opposite shutdown corner Joe Haden, Skrine had many passes come his way and as a result had four interceptions. He is capable of playing both inside and outside. Even if the Lions resign Rashean Mathis, Skrine is still needed. Mathis played great last year, but can't have much mileage left. The Lions need another CB for nickel and dime packages.

4. Cedric Thorton - DE/DT - Thorton is not a pass rusher. However, he is one of the best in the league at stopping the run. He is a smart player and would easily switch to 4-3. He has the type of drive and work ethic that Lions Head Coach Jim Caldwell loves.

5. Ted Ginn Jr. - KR/WR - The return game was absent from the Lions in 2014. Jeremy Ross made key mistakes and an upgrade at this position is needed. Ginn can also work as a #3 or #4 receiver.

If Ndamukong Suh walks, the Lions will have plenty of money to play with, even though they probably can't sign everyone on this list. While there are many good free agent running backs (DeMarco Murray, Frank Gore, C.J. Spiller and many others), most have injury issues and are close to or over 30 years old. There are several draft prospects, and it is almost a forgone conclusion that the Lions will draft a running back in the first two rounds.
