INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay turned up his team's amount of pressure with some recent comments. It was already made known that this upcoming season has been ruled a "Super Bowl or bust" season, but he raised his expectations even further.

“In the Andrew Luck era, we would like to win at least two World Championships,” Jim Irsay said this past Saturday.

He didn't just leave it at that, he said he wants the team to win two consecutive Super Bowls.

“When you look at that, we look at how do we build this roster over the next three years to really be able to go on a run where you can win two Super Bowls in a row, when you can really be dominant. Again, that’s working on all phases of the ball," Jim Irsay said.

Of course a team has to be great on all three major phases of a football team (offense, defense, and special teams). It appears that the Colts are great on offense and on special teams, but their defense is going to have to prove itself. The team did make upgrades to the defense this off-season, but they will need to put it all together before they talk Super Bowls.

Indianapolis has confidence in their players that they already have, they proved that in their draft philosophy. For example, many Colts fans viewed the starting safety as a liability since they didn't have faith in Dwight Lowery. Rather than drafting the best safety in the draft at 29th overall, the team drafted the best players available in their eyes, wide receiver Phillip Dorsett.

That's why this team is going to need some unexpected players to step up. Indianapolis has placed their faith in their current roster, now that faith needs to show up on the football field. If their "holes" are field by unexpected contributors, there is no doubt that the team could compete for a Super Bowl. But without knowing this, it is far too early to talk about a Super Bowl appearance, not to mention, talking about winning multiple Super Bowls, or even consecutive Super Bowls.
