Brandon Bolden -  After signing an extension with the Patriots, Bolden looks to get on the right track in training camp. This is a great chance for him to take the starting job. After only having 28 carries last year, Bolden can use this training camp to prove that he can be the starter for New England. But he can also find himself buried in the depth chart if he slips.

Jonas Gray - We all remember Jonas Gray for his 201 yard, four touchdown outburst against the Indianapolis Colts, and then we never saw him on the field for much of an impact again. After being late to practice one day, he was in the doghouse and never came out of it. Hopefully for Gray, this is a chance at a fresh start and he can show the skills he did on that night in Indianapolis.

Tyler Gaffney - He didn't play at all last year and the second year man out of Stanford will have to have an outstanding camp to secure a roster spot. He is buried in the depth charts and will have to find a way to move up if he wants a chance to see the field.

James White - White will be the true X-Factor out of all the New England running backs. Although he had only nine carries last year, he showed some potential. He was a good running back coming out of Wisconsin and has the ability to jump and grab the starting job in New England. He showed potential and could be a dark horse in the race for the starting job.

Travaris Cadet - Cadet, who was with the Saints last year, is also buried in the depth chart as well. His one big plus is his catching ability out of the backfield. Like Gaffney, he will have to have a big training camp to climb up some roster spots.

LeGarrette Blount - Although he is suspended for the first game of the season, Blount is still the favorite. He was a key part to a lot of the Patriots success in the playoffs, especially against the Colts in the playoffs. Blount brings a power running game that suits the Patriots style and he should be the main man when he gets back in Week 2.

Right now Blount is the overall favorite but the likes of James White and Jonas Gray stand the best chance of taking over his place. White can offer a change of pace for New England as well as Gray; but right now, expect Blount to be getting the load of the carries this season for the Patriots.
