Montee Ball has had the hype since he came into the league. He's had injuries, issues living up to the hype, and struggled getting yards. Is this the year we see him shine?

The Broncos have an interesting take on this now, as they have a more than capable starting runningback in ex-Cal C.J. Anderson. Anderson could easily carry the ball 20 times a game and the team would be fine, but new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison like's to use multiple backs in their run-heavy offense.

"I'm really looking forward to splitting carries with him," Ball said, via the team's official website. "I think we're two really good backs in a system that we love to keep the ball on the ground. So we love this system."

This writer thinks Ball can still be capable of a solid near 5 yards a carry and around 75 rush yards a game, but he needs to prove it. Anderson is listed as the start right now, but it is a 1A and 1B situation.

"It's a long season," Ball continued, "so we most definitely understand that we're going to have to keep battling and keep fighting for the position, which will make the offense better and the team better. Healthy competition is important."

Either way, the Broncos look primed for a dominant rushing attack in the league. Anderson was money last season, and Ball can also be really good. Anderson is likely the back to catch balls out of the backfield, while Ball will get more runs through the tackles but a flex-back like Anderson is best friends with Peyton Manning.
