The Denver Broncos made their final three cuts on Tuesday to get their roster to the NFL mandated 75 players by the 4 PM ET deadline.

Wide receiver Nathan Palmer, tight end Dan Light, and linebacker Danny Mason joined the 12 players who on Monday were either waived, released, or traded.

Palmer was signed by the Broncos as a free agent in December of 2013 and assigned to the practice squad. He spent most of the 2014 season as a practice squad player.

Light barely had time to settle in before he was told it was time to move on. The rookie tight end was picked up off of waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday. Light has had to battle back from an ACL injury after tearing it last November while playing for Fordham University. The injury ended his hope of being drafted and now he must find his third team of the year in order to continue his dream of playing in the NFL

Mason was signed to a futures contract in January but with so much depth at linebacker it was virtually impossible to crack the roster. Three linebackers have been waived or released over the last two days, most of any position.

The decisions faced by head coach Gary Kubiak and his staff are only going to get harder from here on out as the 4 PM ET Saturday deadline for rosters to be cut to 53 players approaches.

The Broncos will host the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason finale on Thursday night.  Most of the veterans will get the night off as the backups and rookies battle for the final roster spots.

Notes:

Former Broncos quarterback Zac Dysert, cut by the Broncos on Monday, was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Bears on Tuesday afternoon. Dysert will be reunited with Head Coach John Fox and Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase who drafted him while with Denver.

Wide receiver Corbin Louks will get one more shot to make the roster on Thursday when he will be returning punts and kickoffs in the game against the Cardinals.

Kubiak stated on Tuesday that he was still not sure if he was going to carry five or seven wide receivers.  Decision will most likely go down to the wire.

On Tuesday night's episode of HBO's "Hard Knocks" during trade talks between Houston Texans GM Rick Smith and Broncos GM John Elway, Elway said that he was looking to pull off a trade involving two of Denver's inside linebackers. The Broncos have a surplus of talent in the linebacking corps.
