SEATTLE -- Frank Clark had a strip sack and multiple tackles for a loss at defensive end while running back Thomas Rawls ran for 87 yards and a score in the Seattle Seahawks' 31-21 preseason-ending victory over the Oakland Raiders at CenturyLink Field

The 'Hawks struck early, with Tyler Lockett going all the way for a 63-yard touchdown catch from Russell Wilson on just Seattle's second offensive play on Thursday. Lockett beat his man down the left sideline, and from there he was gone. The rookie out of Kansas State had three total TDs this preseason, all of over 50 yards and each in a different manner. His other two were kick and punt return touchdowns.

That would be Wilson's first and only series of the game. R.J. Archer entered the game, driving the team downfield into deep kicking range. Steven Hauschka casually nailed a 55-yard field goal to make it a 10-0 game to cap of Archer's first drive.

Oakland did not have much luck on offense in the first half, scoring just one touchdown through the first 30 minutes. Frank Clark led a fierce defensive line to a dominant run-stopping performance.

On the Raiders' opening possession in the second quarter, Matt McGloin gave two handoffs to Michael Dyer, one for a loss of two yards, and the other a four-yard gain negated by a holding call. A play later, Clark broke through the O-Line once again, this time sacking and stripping McGloin on his first dropback of the game. Jordan Hill dove on the ball in the endzone to get the touchdown and make it 17-0.

McGloin came back on the next series, marching his team downfield. He found a favorite target in Seth Roberts. Roberts had a 19-yard TD called back after review, but a few plays later, made a six-yard reception to put Oakland on the board just past halfway in the second quarter.

After a failed opening possession to start the second half, the Seahawks saw McGloin once again storm downfield, this time finding Rod Streater for a 28-yard reception in the endzone to close the gap to 17-14.

In came B.J. Daniels, a man who barely practiced at quarterback this offseason, but rather trained as a skill player. Daniels led the team downfield with a variety of dink-n'-dunk passes and QB runs to end the drive in an 18-yard touchdown grab by Kasen Williams, who impressed Thursday night.

Daniels led Seattle's next scoring drive, a possession in the middle of the fourth that ended in a six-yard TD for Thomas Rawls. That would ice the game in the Seahawks' favor, putting them up 31-14 with five and a half minutes to go.

Oakland scored on their next drive, but took too long, knocking in the PAT with 48 seconds remaining. Dyer scored the TD, and while the team won the onside kick, it was all over by then, Seattle emerging victorious on a 31-21 result.

B.J. Daniels didn't have a picture-perfect game through the air, but did finish with 45 yards passing and 75 rushing. Tyler Lockett had two catches for 77 yards, one of five Seahawks receivers with multiple catches.

The Oakland passing game was phenomenal. McGloin finished with 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Seth Roberts had 110 yards receiving on seven grabs, Brice Butler had 62 on four catches, and Rod Streater had 37 yards and a TD on three receptions. The running game, however, only notched 27 total yards.

Seattle will have a hard time making cuts by Saturday, as will Oakland. Both teams open a week from Sunday, on September 13th.
