Everyone knows about the future Hall of Famer from the Green Bay Packers in former quarterback Brett Favre. But there is a new Brett in town, and with his performance in the final preseason game of 2015, it could be time for fans to get familiar with Brett Hundley, the current third string quarterback of the Packers.

He ended up coming off the bench to replace Scott Tolzien. But by the time he finished he had completed 16 of his 23 pass attempts for a total of 236 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. While it is the final preseason game, it is good to see a quarterback shine as a backup to Aaron Rodgers, as historically players like Graham Harrell who have backed up Rodgers in the past just do not look very good behind the reigning NFL MVP.

Speaking of rookie quarterbacks, Garrett Grayson was drafted earlier than Hundley, but he just didn't look quite as polished in his performance tonight, as he completed only 8 of his 19 passes for a total of 71 yards. To only make matters worse, he also tossed two interceptions, as both Chris Banjo and Tay Glover-Wright were able to snag a pass out of the air against the former Colorado State Rams quarterback.

Other players to keep your eye on as we get closer to cuts include Jared Abbrederis, Tim Hightower, Myles White, and Carl Bradford.

Abbrederis was playing in his first preseason game and his first NFL game of any time on Thursday night. While he didn't have much involvement in the passing game, as he only caught one pass for six yards to tie him with fullback John Kuhn, his primary highlights came during punt returns, where he had 3 punt returns for a total of 35 punt return yards. If the coaches think that Abbrederis is ready to compete on special teams, then he very well might stay on the 53 man roster.

Hightower is still working his way back into the NFL after being out for a few years. Nothing terribly electric for the former Arizona Cardinals running back, but he did manage to get a total of 34 yards on 8 carries and an additional 9 yards on 2 receptions. Is that going to be enough for him to make the New Orleans Saints final roster? This writer projects him to be near the bubble.

White has always been an interesting figure for Packers fans, primarily because he was close to the roster the last few years, but ended up on their practice squad instead of on the team. He did have 4 catches for 46 yards with 2 touchdowns from Hundley in this game. Most experts are still putting White on the outside looking in, but it will be difficult to know what exactly will happen for the young man as he did play well on Thursday.

The final man to keep an eye on tonight is on the Packers defense as Carl Bradford has moved to inside linebacker instead of outside linebacker this off-season. He is behind a few men on the depth chart and didn't seem to have much of an impact in this game, but linebackers are critical in a 3-4 defense, and it might be wise for the Packers to hang onto him.

The best news out of this game is that from here it is the regular season. The Green Bay Packers will travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 13. The New Orleans Saints will be on the road as well as they have to face the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale on the same day.
