The Buffalo Bills will likely be without two of their top playmakers in this Sunday's game against the New York Giants

Second year wide receiver, Sammy Watkins (calf) was limited to little game action and just one catch in the teams blowout win against the Miami Dolphins due to his lingering calf injury.

As for first year Bill, running back LeSean McCoy (hamstring), he played in a large amount of the game against Miami but was next to useless as he was limited to just 16 yards on 11 carries. His hamstring has bothered McCoy since the start of the 2015 season.

In a press conference today, Bills coach Rex Ryan told members of the media what they expected to hear about the star players.

"Will Sammy play? I'm not sure," Ryan told reporters Wednesday. "Shady doesn't look good. Well, I mean... I'm telling everybody, 'Oh yeah, he's got a great chance, but we all know he doesn't. And the same thing with Sammy Watkins. Will he play? Probably not."

Earlier today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Bills are potentially willing to keep McCoy out for an extended period of time until the injury completely heals.

If the two are unable to play, the team has players more than capable of stepping in for them. For Watkins it will likely be either Chris Hogan or Robert Woods. In the game against Miami, in Watkins' absence, the two were able to total a combined seven catches for 80 yards and one touchdown. For McCoy, it will be rookie Karlos Williams. Williams has looked superb this season as McCoy's backup with a staggering 186 yards on 24 carries and three touchdowns in his first three career games.

Even if Buffalo's star players aren't able to play, the game should be a close and highly contested matchup as they face the New York Giants.
