Sunday morning was more enjoyable for football fans. Instead of the wait for the afternoon games, there was a morning game at Wembly Stadium in London, England with 83,986 in attendance for a National Football League game.

Fans around the globe viewed as the New York Jets compiled 425 total yards to win 27-14 over the Miami Dolphins, who only managed 226 on the game.

Leading the Jets (3-1; 1-0 AFC East) was running back Chris Ivory, who has been with the team since 2013. The 27-year-old was probable to play coming into the game, but got the start and finished as the best player statistically.

Ivory carried the ball 29 times for 166 yards and a touchdown. It was a three-yard score to give the Jets a 7-0 lead with just under 11 minutes to play in the first.

The running back had another shot to score, but instead New York went with Zac Stacy to punch it in for a third quarter score.

The Jets got a 22-yard field goal knock from Nick Folk to make it 10-0 over Miami after the first quarter. While Folk closed out the first quarter with a score, he opened the second quarter with a 48-yard field goal to give the Jets a 13-0 lead with eight minutes and 47 seconds to play in the first half.

After Folk's two scores, the Dolphins (1-3; 0-2 AFC East) got on the board. Ryan Tannehill dropped back and found Jake Stoneburner for an eight-yard score to get Miami on the board.

Stoneburner finished Sunday morning's game with two receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown.

Each and every season since 2012, Tannehill has gotten better and better for the Dolphins. He is already well on his way to another 4,000-yard season through the air.

Speaking of quarterbacks, the Jets man under center, Ryan Fitzpatrick, found Brandon Marshall for a 58-yard completion early in the game, but was quiet for almost the rest of the first half. Fitzpatrick, however, broke out of his shell with a 10-yard score to veteran receiver Eric Decker to make it 20-7 in favor of New York with under a minute to play before halftime.

Marshall finished the game with seven receptions for 128 yards, while Decker tacked on 46 yards and a touchdown on four catches.

New York continued to pour on the points with a two-yard rushing touchdown from Stacy to make it 27-7 in the third quarter. Stacy only had five carries for seven yards and two receptions for 18 yards, but his touchdown proved to be a nice cushion for the Jets early in the second half.

With ten minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Dolphins found the scoreboard for the second time. It was Tannehill again, but this time to Kenny Stills for a 10-yard touchdown to make it just a 13 point deficit.

Stills caught a team-high 81 yards on five receptions with a touchdown, his long was a 42-yard catch after Tannehill scrambled out of the pocket. Jarvis Landry added four receptions for 40 yards, while taking the football 122 yards on five kick returns.

After the early fourth quarter score, Tannehill took many shots down the field during hte end of the game, but just could not find a receiver in the end zone.

The last throw for the Miami quarterback was intended for Jordan Cameron in the end zone, but it was intercepted my Marcus Williams with one minute and 45 seconds left in regulation.

Tannehill struggled as he completed just 19-of-44 with 198 yards. While his two touchdowns were impressive, the two interceptions he threw outweighed the good.

After a poor last few drives from Miami, Fitzpatrick took three straight kneels to finalize the Jets' 27-14 victory over the Dolphins.

The New York quarterback finished 16-for-29 with 218 yards and one touchdown. Fitzpatrick, however, threw an interception to Zack Bowman, which he returned for 38 yards. Fitzpatrick chipped in on the ground with nine carries for 34 yards.

The Jets have a bye next week, but will be back in action to take on the Washington Redskins (1-2; 0-1 NFC East) during week six.

As the Jets have a bye in week five, so do the Dolphins. During week six, they will travel on the road to take on the Tennessee Titans (1-2, 0-1 AFC South)
