The Buffalo Bills hosted the New York Giants at Ralph Wilson Stadium for the first time since October of 2011. Right before the game came news of running back LeSean McCoy being out for a month with a hamstring tear. It would appear the Buffalo Bills will be relying more on Karlos Williams in the coming weeks.

The game started out slow for both teams after a couple of series the score stood at 3-0 Giants after a Josh Brown field goal. The Bills showed some life with Karlos Williams running for the Bills first down of the game came less than 7 minutes in the first quarter. Dan Carpenter made a 51- yarder making it a 3-3 game.

The game then tipped in favor of the Giants after Tyrod Taylor got intercepted in Buffalo Bills territory. This led to a Giants touchdown (missed extra point) making the score  9-3 into the second quarter.

The second quarter began will more struggles for the Bills. Tyrod Taylor and the rest of the offense appear lifeless and had a series of three and outs. Eli Manning continued his quick release and completions ending in a touchdown pass to Rueben Randle making it 16-3.

Buffalo tried to get something going before the end of the half and failed to convert a 3rd and 1 with a quarterback sneak (no one was fooled). On 4th and 1 the Bills tried to try to draw the Giants offside but instead the Bills jumped first. The score stood at 16 - 3 at the half.

It appeared to be more of the same for the Bills as they Giants came out swinging in the second half.  The Bills finally had a chance to score and did, at least initially it appeared but a Tyrod Taylor rushing touchdown was called back due to a Kraig Urbik holding call. It led to a Dan Carpenter 30-yard field goal that wasn't. The game remained 16-3 at the end of the 3rd.

Early in the fourth the Buffalo Bills had a chance to get something started but failed to get into the end zone even after going for it on 4th and 1. The Bills did get the ball back and finally got a touchdown.  Tyrod Taylor threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Karlos Williams to make it 16-10 Giants will less than 10 minutes left in the fourth.

The Giants answered with a touchdown later in the fourth and with the two point conversion made it 24-10. The Bills had another opportunity to score in the fourth but Robert Woods, instead of going out of bounds, tried to get more yardage and was stripped of the ball.  The Bills did get the ball back thanks to a Stephon Gilmore interception but it proved to be too little too late. The final score was 24-10 Giants as they improved to 2-2 and the Bills fall to 2-2.

Other Notes:

  • *Penalties plagued the Bills again. The Bills had 17 penalties for 135 yards. Many of the penalties, once again, came on personal fouls
  • *In addition to LeSean McCoy the Bills were without Sammy Watkins
