The New York Giants, who started the season 0-2, have won two in a row to improve to 2-2 on the year. After blowing double digit leads in the fourth quarter in both losses, the Giants have stepped up their game and came out strong again with a 24-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills. The Giants started hot and never trailed in this contest. Here are some observations and notes from Sunday's action.

1. Giants Defense Comes up Big:

The Giants defense played well all day as the held the leagues third scoring offense (33.3 points per game) to just 10 points today. A week after torching the Miami Dolphins for 277 yards and three touchdowns, Bills QB Tyrod Taylor was brought back to Earth Sunday finishing with 274 yards on 28-42 passing with one touchdown and one interception. The 2nd ranked Giants rushing defense also proved their elite status as they held the Bills top ranked rushing attack to just 55 yards on the ground. The biggest defensive play was late in the third quarter with the ball on the Giants one yard line, the Giants stopped the Bills. This proved to be a pivotal point in the game.

2. Eli Manning Continues to Impress:

Eli Manning looked sharp again completing 20-35 pass attempts for 212 yards and three touchdowns, while throwing his first interception of the season. Manning connected with three different players on the touchdowns. He first found new Giant Dwayne Harris from 21-yards out, then connected with Rueben Randle on a short 11-yard touchdown, and capped it off with his game sealing 51-yard touchdown on a screen pass to Rashad Jennings. Manning has completed 63% of his passes this year and thrown for 976 yards, seven touchdowns and the one interception. If Manning stays hot, the Giants should be contending for an NFC East title this year.

3. Giants Special Teams Continues to Surprise:

After struggling for so many years, the Giants special teams is finally playing like a complete unit. New Giants punter Brad Wing entered the game  leading the NFL with eight punts downed inside the 20-yard line. He added four more on Sunday, three of which pinned the Bills at or inside the 10. Giants kicker Josh Brown also continues his impressive season as he is now 10-10 on field goals this year, converting on the one chance he had today.

Other Notes:

Devon Kennard Continues to Improve: Giants second year linebacker Devon Kennard played very well Sunday as he had 4 tackles and added in his first career NFL interception.

Nikita Whitlock Continues His Incredible Success Story: Giants player Nikita Whitlock has been exceptional this year playing on offense and defense. He played well at fullback today, but was even better at defensive tackle as he had two tackles and recorded his first career sack.

Odell Beckham Makes More History: Odell Beckham Jr. broke the NFL record for most receiving yards in any players first 16 career games. Beckham now has 1,612 yards through just 16 career games.
