The Buffalo Bills disappointed many Bills fans that went to their last week’s matchup against the New York Giants at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The team was hindered by many penalties and setbacks and the offense was inept to say the least. Eli Manning was able to neutralize the talented Bills defensive line by getting rid of the football in two seconds or less. He was able to find his quick receivers immediately off the line and the Bills did not change their game plan quick enough and they were not able to come out of the game with a victory.

The Bills were frustrated all game long and Tyrod Taylor was ineffective as a passer. They will need to be better if they are to improve from their current 2-2 record and become a true playoff contender. In a division with the New England Patriots, the Bills can not afford to give games away with foolish penalties or turnovers. Both of which they had against New York.

This week they travel to Nashville, Tennessee to play the Tennessee Titans. The Titans were 2-14 last year, but already have two wins this season with rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota at the helm. The Oregon Ducks product has shown great maturity and composure thus far in his young career. He makes good decisions and is very accurate. This coupled with his mobility can make the Bills defense have a lot of trouble.

The Bills offense has shown flashes of brilliance, but injuries and inconsistency has put some doubts into play. Charles Clay has been a bright spot and seems to be Tyrod Taylor’s favorite option. Percy Harvin is another weapon the Bills can use, but has not been involved as much as of late. Injuries to Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy and now Karlos Williams will limit the Bills attack more, but Watkins may return this week and that could give them a boost. The inconsistency of the Bills makes predicting the offense very challenging and it will be interesting to see on Sunday which Bills offense shows up.

Tennessee will be looking to get their third win this season and a winning record with Mariota. The offense installed by Ken Whisenhunt is perfect for the young quarterback and allows him to play his game. The Bills defense will try to get to him and rush him into mistakes. Rex Ryan will also be dialing up some exotic blitzes to confuse Mariota. If the Bills can get him rattled it will be a long day for Tennessee, but if the Titans can find a way to get the ball out of his hands and to their play makers, Buffalo may be surprisingly left with a losing record on the year.
