The New York Giants are coming off of a second consecutive and disappointing 6-10 season. Here are five players the Giants should consider taking with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.

1. Shaq Lawson , DE, Clemson

The Giants have lacked a solid defensive line for sometime now. Since the departure of some of their Super Bowl heroes like Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora, the Giants have found it nearly impossible to get heavy pressure on the quarterback. The Giants finished this season ranked 30th among defenses in sacks with just 23. A strong defensive force along the line is exactly what the Giants need, and Shaq Lawson would provide just that. The Junior has a good mix of size and speed and played a big role in Clemson's run to the National Championship game as he finished the year with 12.5 sacks. If the Giants select Lawson it will help take a lot of pressure off of their weak secondary.

2. Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma St

Another strong defensive end in a deep draft for defensive lineman is a Junior from Oklahoma St, Emmanuel Ogbah. The big defensive end finished his 2015 campaign with 13 sacks. Ogbah is a good defensive end who is great at stopping the run and even better at rushing the passer. With the future of Jason Pierre-Paul and Robert Ayers Jr. uncertain, it would be wise for the Giants to select a young and efficient defensive end early in this years draft.

3. Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida

The Giants secondary was bad in 2015. Not just bad, they were historically bad. The Giants finished last in total defense this year and they gave up an astonishing amount of yardage. Over 6,700 yards to be exact. If available at number 10, Vernon Hargreaves III would be a great shutdown corner opposite Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and possibly Prince Amukamara. Amukamara will be a free agent this season and coming off a disappointing and injury filled year it is very possible the Giants will chose to move on from him. If this is the case the Giants would be smart to make his replacement Vernon Hargreaves III.

4. Myles Jack, LB, UCLA

Before suffering a serious knee injury, Myles Jack was for sure a top-10 pick. While he still could be, Jack missed a majority of the season with a knee injury. The Giants need help at linebacker and Jack has serious potential as an NFL linebacker, but are the injury concerns worth the risk? That is the question the Giants must answer when deciding to potentially draft Myles Jack.

5. Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama

While Rashad Jennings proved he can be a starting running back near the end of the season, the Giants may want to draft another more powerful and stronger back. Derrick Henry, the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner, is a bruising running back and runs hard every time he touches the ball. Henry finished this season with over 2,200 yards and an unprecedented 28 touchdowns. Henry would give the Giants a scary option out of the backfield that they haven't had in a while. If he is there at number 10, the Giants may pick him just because of how much potential is there with Henry.
