The Florida Panthers had a disappointing 2013-2014 season due to lack of production from some of the players that were on the roster. One of those players was veteran leader Tomas Kopecky. Kopecky was limited to a total of 49 games this past season due to many injuries. In those 49 games he recorded a total of 12 points, 4 goals, and 8 assists. This is a very important season for Kopecky as his 4-year contract ends with the Florida Panthers this upcoming offseason. If he wants to stay with the Panthers, he needs to contribute this upcoming season. He needs to maintain healthy for the year. Last season he battled with a few injuries that cost him to miss half of the season.

In the 2012-2013 season, which was the lockout year, Kopecky played in 47 games and he recorded 15 goals, 12 assists for a total of 27 points. That’s certainly the production the Panthers are looking from him this upcoming season over all 82 games. Kopecky looks to rebound from last season and stay healthy.

The main thing the Panthers need Kopecky to do this season is stay healthy. He must stay healthy in order for him to contribute on this team. Secondly, he needs to provide that veteran leadership for the young Florida Panthers players that are on the roster. Finally, he needs to get about 50 points this season in order to have a bounce back season for the Panthers if they want to make the playoffs this season.

Kopecky is a huge impact player for the Panthers, but he just needs to stay healthy to add that veteran presence and put up points when they need him to score. That is why Tomas Kopecky is part of the ComeBack Cats.
