3rd, 0:05: Carter gets a great chance but just misses.

3rd, 1:07: Kings power play, Brown and Braun get called for penalties. 5 on 3 hockey for the last minute.

3rd, 2:08: A team finally gets a shot after a few minutes of turnovers and it is the Sharks but Jones makes the save.

3rd, 7:44: Sharks kill the penalty. Kings now 0-3 on the power play.

3rd, 8:43: Martinez gets a great chance but Niemi makes the save.

7:50 PM PT: Incredible shot from Wingels beats Quick for the goal. Quick was not giving him a lot of room to work with and a strong and accurate shot goes by Quick.

1st, 14:41: Sharks kill the penalty. The Kings had no shots on their power play.

1st, 16:38: The Kings go on a power play after a penalty to Marleau.

6:36 PM PT: A huge key in this game is how the starting goalies will play. Kings' goalie Jon Quick is coming off wrist surgery he had in the offseason and he had limited play in the preseason. Antti Niemi has been the center of goalie controversies for the Sharks. Coach Todd McLellan said there would be an open goalie competition in training camp and also said that Alex Stalock will get his share of games this season but Niemi will get the start tonight.

5:45 PM PT: This is the final time the Kings will have the Cup before it goes to Quebec to be engraved with the names of the 2013-2014 roster. The Cup will make a "march-style" entrance into Staples Center and it will be present for the banner raising ceremony. The Kings will also unveil the 2013-2014 Western Conference Champions banner.

5:42 PM PT: INJURY Update: Due to an undisclosed injury, Jake Muzzin is questionable for tonights game. If Muzzin is out, expect Brayden McNabb to make his Kings debut.

5:41 PM PT: This preseason, the Kings were 5-0-2, the Sharks were 3-2-2.

5:05 PM PT: This is the night the Kings will raise their 2013-2014 Stanley Cup Champions banner. For the 2nd time in 3 seasons, the Kings hoisted the Stanley Cup over their heads. This year, they are looking to defend their title and try to start a dynasty.
